I love Florida's natural beauty!
...And I love working in the outdoors.
As a kid growing up in Cocoa, Florida, the outdoors were always where you'd find me. Romping the woods and blazing new trails when I was young. Later, surfing and scuba diving caught my attention. Florida had many adventures to offer me. My love of the outdoors has drawn me to choose a profession that lets me be there every day.
My first business was mowing lawns for neighbors and it stuck with me for many years. As I mowed, I was observant of plant types and began to take notice of plant arrangements, which led to an interest in landscape design. I pursued that interest and earned a degree in Landscape Design from Ashworth College. I have since designed and installed many landscapes for commercial and residential clients. I really enjoy the creativity involved in the landscape design process.
Landscape designing led me to further my knowledge of trees. I began studying tree types, proper pruning techniques, risk management, and diagnosis and treatment of tree problems. I earned the credential of ISA Certified Arborist from the International Society of Arboriculture, and I greatly enjoy putting my expertise of tree care and pruning into practice. I enjoy specializing in caring for specimen and protected trees.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) allows me as an ISA Certified Arborist to perform mangrove trimming professionally. I am allowed by Florida law to trim mangroves for my clients in accordance with Florida Statutes governing their protection. The FDEP has granted me the designation of a "Professional Mangrove Trimmer" (PMT).
Mangrove trimming is a very rewarding part of my work as an arborist. Trimming mangroves correctly helps important ecosystems to thrive and I'm also happy to help homeowners benefit by maximizing their beautiful waterfront views.
Put my credentials and love of the outdoors to work for you!
